About
The Dryden Entertainment Series (DES) is a volunteer, non-profit organization working in partnership with sponsors and individual citizens to support and present the performing arts for the enjoyment and enrichment of the community.
DES presents a series of concerts each season, providing our audiences with the opportunity to view a variety of Canadian artists at a reasonable cost.
The Series showcases a consistently high calibre of performing artists in the comfort of an outstanding venue, the Dryden Performing Arts Centre.
Each season features a mix of emerging and established artists. Over the years, Dryden audiences have had the opportunity to view such well-known artists as Michael Burgess, The Rankin Family, John McDermott, Murray McLaughlan, Jully Black, Jim Cuddy and Serena Ryder. DES also tries to offer a yearly program with a balance among the various performing arts, such as orchestral and smaller ensemble music in a variety of styles, theatre, dance and comedy.
The Dryden Entertainment Series is sponsored in part by the Ontario Arts Council and Canadian Heritage - Canada Arts Presentation Fund.
DES Mission
To provide diverse performing arts experiences to the widest possible audience, supporting Canadian artists and building culture in our community and throughout our region.
